I am a Ph.D. candidate in Marketing at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder.
My research examines how payment technologies shape consumer financial decision-making and how these behavioral changes translate into retailer strategy and performance. I study Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL), pricing and promotions, retailing, and consumer financial well-being, using experiments and large-scale archival data. My job-market paper shows that third-party BNPL reduces consumers’ price sensitivity and can serve as a strategic substitute for price promotions: retailers that adopt it experience higher sales, gross profit, and inventory turnover while relying less on frequent and deep discounts.
Before beginning my Ph.D., I worked as a research engineer at the University of Montreal Hospital Research Center. I hold an M.Sc. in Management from the University of Ottawa and an M.A.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Concordia University.
